Burger Live: A place to meet your JVC neighbours

Anyone living in Jumeirah Village Circle struggle to find a place to meet your JVC friends after work?

I do. The closest place is Motor city and sometimes making the effort to drive out to Hessa St is too much after a long day, plus having to make sure you don't go past the 80km/hr speed limit... Talk about #firstworldproblems.

Well, recently the place opened up and it looked like a little bar.

The owner was friendly and very dedicated to his little burger shop. He liked bartending and decided to make his own non alcoholic bar in the village. I found it brilliant because that was what attracted us to the place!

Burger Live has also the concept of patrons being able to see and watch their food being prepared, hence the live kitchen for all.

Initially, I thought the live represents the live football at the outdoor seating area. But I guess it could be a similar concept.

We have been there a couple of times since it was just around our neighbourhood. And honestly, there are no other cafe style restaurant that you can sit with just a drink in JVC!

Last night, we met there with some friends to have drinks.

Food

Four Seasons. Avocado, Mango, Strawberry, Banana blended with condensed milk. It was too sweet for our liking.

I was feeling a little jet lagged from all my travelling and wanted something sourish. The waitress recommended Piano Kiwi. Fresh pineapple juice and kiwi blended together. YUM

5/5 stars!

The mocktails are at 15dhs for the medium size. I thought the price was very reasonable! 

We ordered some food too. They have a range of standard western food like pizzas, fries, onion rings... We also tried their thai food range and ordered chicken satay.

The chicken was a whole fillet unlike the normal chicken satay skewers you find in Asia. Initially, I thought this would make the chicken taste really dry and rubbery but I was surprised that it was not too bad! The peanut sauce was very flavourful too. 28dhs for 5 sticks, good for sharing.

It's located beside Blue Mart Supermarket and opposite Life Pharmacy.

I reckon this place would be lively during the winter months. The friendly owner (sorry we forgot to ask for his name) mentioned the outdoor area is not yet completed and there will be more decorations and features once he gets approval.

Can't wait for this thriving neighbourhood to be up!
